Mass Spectrometry at UNL
Sunday, April 30, 2017
The Mass Spectrometry facilities at UNL have a primary function which is to serve the needs of the University of Nebraska research community. A secondary focus is to provide fee-based MS services to the research community at large, both industrial and academic. To best fulfill those needs, we strive to maintain state of the art instrumentation.
Currently we have fourteen instruments available for analysis that provide a range of ionization techniques for sample analysis. They include electron ionization (EI), chemical ionization (CI), electrospray ionization (ESI), Atmospheric Pressure Photoionization (APPI), Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI) and matrix-assisted laser desorption (MALDI). Additionally, multiple MS experiments (MSn) for sequencing are also available.
