Instruments available at our locations offer a wide variety of capabilities. See below for fuller descriptions of each one.
Waters Synapt G2-S
The Waters Synapt is a combination quadrupole/time-of-flight spectrometer that includes a collision cell and an ion mobility cell. Coupling its high resolution capabilities (>20,000) with the ability of ion mobility to sort ions based on shape, it offers unique analysis capabilities.
Thermo Finnigan LCQ
The Finnigan Finnigan Finnigan LCQ is a mass spectrometer that uses a
Pauli ion trap to collect, resolve and detect ions. It is capable of
performing MSn experiments with Zoom (high resolution) capability for
limited mass ranges. One LCQ is equipped with a IN/US radioactivity
detector for labelled compound analysis. Another is set up as an open
access instrument.
Waters GCT
The Waters GCT is a time-of-flight instrument optimized for study of small molecules. It can be coupled with various sources such as EI, CI, and a GC interface.
Applied Biosystems Voyager-Pro MALDI
The Applied Biosystem's Voyager DE-Pro is a MALDI-based instrument that relies on time-of-flight principles to provide separation of ions of differing mass to charge ratios. Typical resolutions possible with this instrument are approximately 8000 ppm in atomic mass units.
